The Barefoot Wine AVPNext Championship Cup The AVP has chosen the Newport Volleyball Club (NVC) as one of the 16 promoters nationwide to host one of the finest Men’s & Women’s Doubles league to hit this region EVER.

Players ranked individually 1 - 48 on the AVP tour are not eligible. Ineligible players will be published by March 15, 2009
All players must be an AVPNext member
League play:
REGISTRATION ENDS: May 15th
STARTS: Monday, June 1st
ENDS: Monday, July 13th
All matches are on Mondays!
TIME: 6:15 PM
FORMAT: Each Team will play against 2 Teams 1 game to 21
REFEREES: If you are not playing you are working
SUBS:
Limited to only 2 nights and must come from the work team.
Must have at least 1 team member on the court.
All Players Agree To The Following:
Attend Mandatory League Meeting at TICKETS (Date & Time TBD)
Responsible for equipment set-up and breakdown
All drinking of alcoholic beverages will be restricted to the patio at the Atlantic Beach Club. DRINK RESPONSIBLY
All cars in the Easton’s Beach parking lot will be removed at the conclusion of play.
If crowned Champion, you will accept the challenge of representing New England in an all expense paid trip to participate in the 2009 BAREFOOT WINE AVPNext CHAMPIONSHIP CUP National Championship in San Francisco, California Thursday August 13th
REGISTRATION:
Follow the instructions for NVC beach league registration: Select Join NVC-->Beach from the main menu, and make sure you select the Barefoot Wine AVPNext Championship Cup Men or Women Open Doubles League
Teams will be selected in order of strength.
OPTIONAL: If you feel we need seeding information, email the
with AVPNext ranking and/or tournament results (AVPNext.com).
Failure to do so could affect your team acceptance.
Incomplete registrations as of May 15th will NOT be considered (player registration payment & AVPNext for both players)
Separate $80 forfeit check – which will be destroyed with perfect attendance
Rain Policy: Because of the short season, this will need to be a rain or shine league. If the weather is absolutely impossible we will try to figure out something, but extending the season is not an option.
Prizes:
Prize Money: There will be a total of $1000 cash prizes for each gender:
1st: $500 plus trip to San Francisco, California to compete in the 2009 BAREFOOT WINE AVPNext CHAMPIONSHIP CUP National Championship August 13th with $5000 prize money ($2,500 per gender) and a chance to qualify for the AVP Pro Volleyball Tour
2nd: $300
3rd: $200 ($100 for each of 2 teams)
Minimum of 8 teams per gender required to give away prizes.
Winning team must represent NVC in the championship tournament in California in order to receive prize money
Bonus:
On-site Barefoot Wine sampling and promotional giveaways at the Atlantic Beach Club
Fun post-event parties organized by Barefooters

NVC reserves the right to make any decision necessary to guarantee smooth running of this league.
